A CHILDREN’S BOOK ABOUT LOSS AND GRIEF

In the fall of 2022 Cameron was diagnosed with cancer. Six months later, just after his 40th birthday, he passed away.
When I was going through Cameron’s things I came across a file on his computer titled “The Goose and the Monkey.” He was writing a children’s book about our two young daughters, whose nicknames are goose and monkey.
Cameron was one of the good ones. He was a leader in so many ways. He cared deeply for people through his words and actions.
Cameron’s impact will continue on in the lives of everyone who knew him.
Finishing the book that Cameron started has been a meaningful way to work through my own grief of losing him. Grief is so disorienting!
As the girls and I keep going, we are grateful for the lasting influence Cameron had on us. Life is messy and unexpected. I hope this book will give you some courage to keep going.
